To install a Spidot eSIM on an iPhone, open Settings, tap Cellular, choose Add eSIM and scan the QR code from your email. It takes a few minutes and needs an internet connection.
What you need
- An iPhone XS, XR or newer
- A carrier-unlocked phone
- Wi-Fi or mobile data
- The QR code from your Spidot email
Steps
- STEP1
Open Settings and tap Cellular. On some iPhones it is called Mobile Data.
- STEP2
Tap Add eSIM.
- STEP3
Choose Use QR Code and scan the code from your Spidot email.
- STEP4
Give the new line a label, such as Travel.
- STEP5
Keep your own SIM as the default line for calls and texts. Choose the Spidot line for mobile data.
- STEP6
When you arrive, turn on Data Roaming for the Spidot line.
If it does not work
The QR code will not scan
Turn up the brightness of the screen showing the code, or open the code on another device. You can also enter the details by hand.
