How to install an eSIM on Google Pixel

Updated 7 October 2026

To install a Spidot eSIM on a Google Pixel, open Settings, tap Network & internet, then SIMs, choose Add SIM and scan the QR code from your email. It takes a few minutes and needs an internet connection.

What you need

  • A Pixel that supports eSIM
  • A carrier-unlocked phone
  • Wi-Fi or mobile data
  • The QR code from your Spidot email

Steps

  1. STEP1

Open Settings and tap Network & internet.

  2. STEP2

Tap SIMs, then Add SIM. On some versions the plus sign next to SIMs does the same.

  3. STEP3

If you are asked how to set up the SIM, choose Download a SIM instead.

  4. STEP4

Scan the QR code from your Spidot email and follow the prompts.

  5. STEP5

Keep your own SIM for calls and texts. Choose the Spidot eSIM for Mobile data.

  6. STEP6

When you arrive, open the Spidot eSIM in SIMs and turn on Roaming.

If it does not work

The QR code will not scan

Turn up the brightness of the screen showing the code, or open the code on another device. You can also enter the details by hand.
